Weston Wallz returns with 20 new murals for summer 2026
Weston-super-Mare will once again become an open-air gallery this summer as Weston Wallz returns from Friday 17 – Sunday 26 July 2026, bringing 20 new murals and a programme of community-led street art projects to the town.
Produced by Upfest, Weston Wallz will transform walls across the town centre and seafront, with artists creating large-scale artworks that celebrate creativity, community and local identity. Now firmly established as one of the UK’s most exciting street art festivals, Weston Wallz continues to use public art to tell stories, create conversations and leave a lasting outdoor gallery in the seaside town of over 70 large scale artworks.
Taking place during the first week of the school summer holidays, Weston Wallz will once again offer visitors the opportunity to explore a trail of new artworks while discovering Weston-super-Mare’s independent businesses, cultural venues and public spaces.
This year’s event will feature 20 walls in total, including two community murals and two special Scale Up commissions, supporting emerging local artists to work at a significantly larger scale and develop their practice. Community remains at the heart of Weston Wallz, with mural projects involving local groups including South Weston Activity Network (SWAN), ensuring local voices and experiences are reflected across the festival.
The second weekend of Weston Wallz will see the return of the popular S.M.Art Spray Jam, bringing together regional artists for a weekend of live painting and creative activity. The second weekend of this year’s event will also coincide with Weston-super-Mare’s AfriFest, creating a vibrant celebration of art, culture and community across the town.
