The production will take place at the Bristol Hippodrome running from 12th – 16th August 2025, with eight performances in total.

Philip Hallworth, Chair of BLOC Productions, said ‘We are all honoured and excited to have this wonderful opportunity to bring the phenomenon that is Les Misérables home to Bristol! The production has famously never been released for adult amateur companies due to its ongoing success in the West End and on tour, so we are delighted to be able to bring this bucket list opportunity to local performers, with the support and guidance of the show’s West End and international associate creative teams as we prepare our non-replica, original production of the show.

Ben Phillips, Theatre Director at the Bristol Hippodrome said ‘We are utterly delighted that our beautiful theatre will play host to this once in a life-time event. It is an absolute honour to be involved with this project and we can’t wait to welcome new amateur theatre companies and local performers onto our stage.’

Open auditions for casting will be held in due course, and interested performers are encouraged to visit blocproductions.co.uk to register for further information on dates and audition

The critically acclaimed production of Les Misérables continues to play at the Sondheim Theatre, celebrating its 39 th revolutionary year, and several other local language productions around the world.
