Join the final stage of Madeira Cove Gardens restoration in Weston Super Mare

Come along on Saturday, November 23, from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM as we assist North Somerset Council’s Parks and Countryside Ranger alongside a dedicated team of volunteers in completing the restoration of Madeira Cove Gardens in Weston-super-Mare.

The community is invited to participate in this fulfilling event, which marks the culmination of several months of effort that has rejuvenated this local green area. This revitalization includes a vibrant array of wildflowers, fragrant herbs, and diverse plant species throughout Madeira Cove Gardens.

Participants will have the chance to engage in “gardening for wildlife,” try their hand at painting (please dress appropriately if you wish to paint), restore garden structures, and help organize storage for volunteers. Gardening gloves and tools will be available on-site, and no prior experience is required.

North Somerset Council thanks the many volunteers who have enhanced the natural beauty of our region’s largest town and also helped create a sustainable habitat for wildlife.

The team is currently undertaking an inventory of trees, plants, and shrubs to support ongoing biodiversity monitoring.
