Sound of West End Musicals returns with razzle dazzle to Clifton Downs
The Sound of West End Musicals will return to Clifton Downs on Friday 6 August 2027, following a sell-out debut that brought thousands of musical theatre fans together for a spectacular open-air celebration of the West End.
Back for its second year, the show will be bigger and bolder, with a completely new production, a brand-new setlist and special guests still to be revealed. More than 60 performers will take to the stage across the evening, including a full live orchestra, acclaimed West End vocalists and dancers, acrobats, circus acts and delicious food, as to be expected from the organisers of Feast On which takes place the week before.
The show unfolds on a full-scale theatrical stage, brought to life with stunning lighting, immersive visuals and jaw-dropping special effects, set to defy gravity. The 2027 show features songs from Wicked, Chicago, Moulin Rouge, Hairspray, Hamilton, Phantom of the Opera, The Greatest Showman and We Will Rock You.
The event made its debut on Clifton Downs in 2026, selling out its inaugural show which featured a special guest appearance from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat star Gareth Gates.

We are busy creating a whole evening out, where people can arrive early, encounter delicious food and unexpected entertainers before enjoying a medley of some of the biggest hits from musical theatre. Grab your sparkles and get ready for a singalong as the sun goes down over one of Bristol’s most iconic parklands.”
Presale sign-ups are open now at www.westendmusicalsbristol.co.uk, giving musicals fans one hour of priority access before general sale. Presale opens at 9am on Friday 25th September, with general sale following at 10am. Presale tickets are limited, starting at £36 – offering the lowest price to pre-signed up customers. Payment plans are available, and tickets can be booked with a deposit of £10.
The Sound of West End Musicals is suitable for all ages; under-18s must attend with an accompanying adult.
