100 New Homes Planned for Harry Stoke in South Gloucestershire

Published On: September 25th, 2025

South Gloucestershire could soon see a major boost in housing, with proposals lodged to bring 94 new homes to Harry Stoke, on the edge of Bristol.

The plans promise sustainable living at the heart of the development. All homes will be built to be zero carbon-ready, featuring air source heat pumps, electric vehicle charging points, and access to a brand-new children’s playground on the site.

To support the area’s housing needs, 25 of the homes will be allocated to a local housing association, with one designed specifically for wheelchair accessibility.

The scheme forms part of the wider East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood project and includes measures to protect and enhance green spaces, with a strong focus on retaining existing trees and hedgerows.

Developers say the scheme will not only help tackle housing pressures across South Gloucestershire but will also create a community designed with sustainability and accessibility in mind.

The plans are now with South Gloucestershire Council’s planning department for review.
