Bristol artists come together in support of worldwide medical aid

The Mount Without will host a night of music, sound healing, poetry and film

This April, The Mount Without will host ‘Sacred Frequencies’, a beneficiary concert in aid of Doctors without Borders, which will bring the best of Bristol’s local talent together, including music, spoken word and film performances in a celebration of the arts and culture in the city.

Taking place on Thursday 11 April, the concert will feature a solo piano performance from Jimmy Galvin, Bristol-based composer, producer, arranger and visual artist, with special guests Rounik Sethi, sound healer, Boris Ming, violinist and Emmy Broughton, cello and bassist.

There will also be performances from other leading Bristol performers, including poetry from Lawrence Hoo and Edson Burton, intergalactic space-inspired folk music from Ketibu, music from Kirris J Riviere and Marky Ely, a performance from BDP Rising Voices Choir and a film screening from Colin Moody.

Doctors Without Borders is a French non-governmental organisation providing medical assistance to people who are affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare.

Made up of tens of thousands of voluntary health professionals, logistic and administrative staff, Doctors Without Borders is a worldwide movement containing 68,000 people all with the aim of delivering medical aid to those who need it.

Doors open at 7pm, with tickets available to purchase here for £15. All the proceeds from the night will go to the Doctors Without Borders organisation.

We hope to deliver an important message: one of humanity, with no political bias. Lest we forget that we are all human. As Dostoevsky said ‘Beauty will save the world.’”
