BillyChip®, the social enterprise scheme supporting rough sleepers, has shared a documentary showing how its Foundation is supporting Help Bristol’s Homeless, a charity initiative which provides support and temporary housing for those sleeping rough in the city.

The episode explores the importance of choice, highlighting how Help Bristol’s Homeless is offering the displaced community in Bristol a choice in changing their lives. The video sees Jack Gascoigne of BillyChip visit Help Bristol’s Homeless Village and meet the team and a resident.

The BillyChip Foundation has supported Help Bristol’s Homeless since 2021. The Foundation has recently sponsored a unit at the Help Bristol’s Homeless Village, which consists of converted shipping containers that offer safe and secure accommodation to those who are sleeping rough.

Jon Hope, Co-Founder at BillyChip, shared: “It’s been a privilege to support Jasper and the team at Help Bristol’s Homeless with this amazing project, which is such a practical step in providing temporary housing and community support to those who have found themselves homeless. Every time someone buys a BillyChip a donation is made to the BillyChip Foundation, which provides grants to grassroots causes like this. Sponsoring one of the containers felt like an amazing project to collaborate on, and we look forward to supporting the team in the months and years ahead.”

Jasper H Johnson, CEO of Help Bristol’s Homeless added: “I wanted to create a space where Bristol’s homeless get a chance to change their lives and a home is the beginning of that journey. We love working with like-minded charities in the Bristol area and are so thankful to the BillyChip Foundation in all they’ve done to help support what we do.”

The episode is available to watch now on YouTube at https://youtu.be/Y4E4169Vzjo.

The BillyChip Foundation documentary series explores three of the projects which are supported by the organisation, focusing on the key values of compassion, connection and choice. Other episodes feature two other groups supported by the Foundation – Bristol Street Pastors and Tackling Minds.
