Cabinet Members Approve Ambitious Schools Programme for Charfield and Ladden Garden Village

Labour cabinet members have today approved plans to extend Charfield Primary School and build a new school in North Yate, with projected completion dates of 2029 and 2028, respectively.
Cllr Ian Boulton, Co-leader of the council and Cabinet Member for Education, Skills, Employment and Business, commented:
“We are fully aware of how the previous Conservative administration failed to deliver for residents in Ladden Garden Village by breaking promises.
It has fallen to this administration to ensure that the long-promised school for the area is finally built. It’s time to be ambitious. That’s why we are committed to delivering the Ladden Garden Village School by 2028, the fastest possible timeline.”
