O Holy Night, the young stars of Bristol brightly shine this Christmas

Young musicians and junior performers spread festive cheer with a series of Winter Concerts hosted by Bristol Beacon

It’s the most wonderful time of the year as Bristol Beacon presents a Christmas-countdown of winter concerts from Bristol Youth Orchestra, Junior Ensembles, Bristol Youth Choir and many more from November 26 to December 6.

Celebrating the seasons, Bristol Beacon’s Junior Ensembles will be joined by the Junior String Orchestra, Junior Wind Band, String Group and String Sparks to perform some seasonal music and carols which is guaranteed to leave you feeling merry and bright.

Featuring over 70 of the most talented musicians in Bristol, the Bristol Youth Orchestra will be dazzling crowds with their sparkling renditions of Bernstein, Gershwin and Dvořák. Audiences can expect to hear the beautiful sounds of The Magnificent Seven, An American in Paris Suit and Symphony No.9.

Spreading holiday cheer with seasonal favourites and accompanied by a professional band, primary schools from across Bristol will come together to sing the message of hope this Christmas. With over 500 young people filling the hall at St. George’s, Bristol, expect nothing other than pure magic from Bristol Beacon’s Schools Christmas Concert.

Bringing all that jazz, the Small Groups Winter Concert will feature the Beacon’s Jazz Ambassadors, Jazz Ensemble, Brass Sparks and Guitar Sparks to perform festive tunes and carols to get you into the Christmas spirit this winter.

To complete this advent of Christmas concerts, Bristol Beacon are inviting you to join Singing Sparks for their special festive concert at St. James’ Priory with a joyful repertoire of winter songs. Sharing the music the choir have learned this term, this performance will be a celebration of singers between ages 7-9 who form part of the Bristol Youth Choir.

With the first concert taking place November 26, regular performances will take place across Bristol up until December 6. Tickets are on sale between £4 – £6 and can be purchased over on the website with children under five attending for free but still require a ticket.
