Popular South Bristol eatery Bank is shaking up its kitchen offering this autumn by unveiling a more accessible, pocket-friendly menu—and to mark the occasion, the team is giving away 500 free burgers to local diners.

Located in the heart of Totterdown, the independent neighbourhood favourite has built a strong reputation since launching its fire-cooking concept back in 2023. Now, in response to ongoing cost-of-living pressures, founders Dan O’Regan and Jack Briggs-Horan are pivoting to offer everyday classic options alongside their elevated signature dishes.

O’Regan noted that with growing pressures on personal finances, eating out has become harder to justify for many people. To stay true to its concept as a neighbourhood restaurant and continue serving the local community, Bank adapted its menu to introduce more pocket-friendly options without compromising on high-quality ingredients or attentive service.

What’s New on the Menu?

The menu evolution represents Bank’s most significant shift in culinary direction to date. Key additions include:

An Expanded Grill Section: Featuring quality steaks, lamb chops, and signature burgers.
Brasserie Classics: Introducing everyday favourites such as Prawn Cocktail and Caesar Salad.
The Bank Burger: A brand-new centerpiece dish built around a 5oz aged West Country beef patty in a toasted milk bun, complete with in-house kewpie mayonnaise, black garlic ketchup, dill pickles, smoked American cheese, and smoked lyonnaise onions.
