With the two-week Bristol Pride festival already underway across the city, local attention is firmly turning to the main event: Pride Day on Saturday 11 July. More than 40,000 festivalgoers are expected to gather on The Downs for a massive day of live music, community visibility, protest, and celebration.

To help you navigate one of the largest public demonstrations of LGBTQ+ pride in the South West, we have broken down all the key details for the day below.

The Bristol Pride Parade Route & Times

The iconic Pride Parade returns as the vibrant, non-motorised centrepiece of the festival. The community march remains completely free for members of the public to join.

Participants are invited to gather from 10:00 AM at St Peter’s Church in Castle Park before the march sets off through the city centre at 11:00 AM. Bringing together thousands of individuals, local charities, and ally organisations, it stands as a powerful display of unity and protest.

Main Stage & Cabaret Line-ups

Once the parade wraps up, the party moves to The Downs, hosting over ten hours of world-class entertainment across multiple stages.

Main Stage Headliners

Global disco icons Sister Sledge will headline the Main Stage, bringing a timeless catalogue packed with dancefloor classics like We Are Family, Lost In Music, and He’s The Greatest Dancer.

Joining them for Bristol Pride’s beloved Afternoon Legend slot is Australian superstar Jason Donovan, performing an hour-long live set featuring his biggest pop and musical theatre hits. The Main Stage will also feature house music pioneers Black Box, BBC Sound of 2026 artist Chloe Qisha, the ultimate tribute show Absolute Britney, and dance anthem favourite Kelly Llorena.

Cabaret Stage Line-up

Over on the Cabaret Stage, international drag icon Myki Meeks (currently starring in RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 18) joins Welsh TikTok star and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK finalist Catrin Feelings. They lead an incredible lineup of more than 30 drag, cabaret, and performance artists from the local Bristol scene and across the UK.

The Community Area & Marketplace

Sitting at the absolute heart of Pride Day on The Downs is the vital Community Area. More than 50 local and national LGBTQ+ social groups, sports clubs, support services, and charities will be present, allowing visitors to safely connect, discover new networks, and access support.

Local Support & Culture: Freedom Youth Bristol, OutStories Bristol, FFLAG Bristol, Trans Pride Bristol, Switchboard LGBTQIA+, and The Queer Emporium.
Health & Community Well-being: Bristol Drugs Project, Bristol Disability Equality Forum, Womankind Bristol, Samaritans, St Peter’s Hospice, Caring in Bristol, and SARSAS.
Sports & Education: Bristol Frontrunners, Bristol Pride Padel, We The Curious, and Amnesty International Bristol & WSM.

Food, Drinks, and the Vibrant Marketplace

The festival site will feature a vast marketplace highlighting local makers, artists, and LGBTQ+-owned businesses, alongside independent street food vendors serving throughout the day.

Notably, the bars on The Downs have introduced an expanded low-and-no alcohol menu this year. Attendees looking to cool down can also try three brand-new frozen alcoholic slushies, available in Margarita, Strawberry Daiquiri, and Piña Colada flavours.

While Pride Day on Saturday 11 July is the pinnacle of the celebrations, there are plenty of fantastic fringe events running across the remainder of the festival fortnight (27 June to 12 July). Key highlights to book include:

Tickets and Free Bus Travel Info

Bristol Pride Day Supporter Wristbands remain on sale online. Buying a wristband keeps the festival sustainable and unlocks essential perks, including fast-track entry gates, dedicated inner-zone toilets, and discounted drinks at the bars.

Crucially, wristband holders get free travel on Pride Day across all First Bus services within the Bristol Zone, alongside the dedicated Pride Shuttle Buses running continuously between the Amphitheatre (parade end) and The Downs from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
