Rising Alt-Pop Star LUVCAT Joins the Sunday Night Finale on Bristol Harbourside

Bristol Sounds has announced that fast-rising artist Luvcat will join Royel Otis for the closing night of the 2026 series on Sunday 28 June at Bristol Harbourside. Fans are encouraged to act quickly to secure their tickets, with four Bristol Sounds dates already sold out. Tickets available at bristolsounds.co.uk

One of the UK’s most striking new acts, Luvcat has quickly built a cult following through her theatrical blend of romance, chaos and rock’n’roll glamour. Since bursting onto the scene with her sultry debut single ‘Matador’, she has sold out tours across the UK, Europe and the US, gained more than 30 million streams globally and become known for her cinematic live performances packed with gothic swagger and high-drama intensity.

Pulling inspiration from Nick Cave, Cabaret and The Cure, Luvcat mixes gothic glamour with tales of romance, obsession and misadventure. Her debut album Vicious Delicious expands that universe with cinematic tracks including ‘Dinner @ Brasserie Zedel’ and ‘He’s My Man’.

Luvcat joins Australian indie favourites Royel Otis for what promises to be a huge finale to this year’s Bristol Sounds series. The duo – made up of Royel Maddell and Otis Pavlovic – have become one of the most talked-about acts in global indie music thanks to their emotionally charged guitar-pop anthems, viral covers and acclaimed live performances.

Their second album hickey marked a breakthrough moment for the band, with tracks including ‘moody’ topping US AAA Mediabase and Billboard charts, while ‘car’ became BBC Radio 1’s Hottest Record. Combined, Royel Otis have now surpassed 1 billion global streams and built a worldwide audience of more than 12.6 million monthly Spotify listeners.

Also on the final tier of tickets, Welsh psych-rock legends Super Furry Animals return to Bristol Harbourside on Wednesday 24 June for one of the final remaining Bristol Sounds 2026 shows still available. Joined by Bristol duo Getdown Services, the night brings together two of the UK’s most exciting live acts – from Super Furry Animals’ genre-defying mix of psychedelic rock and electronic experimentation to Getdown Services’ blend of dance-punk, offbeat storytelling and chaotic energy.

The full Bristol Sounds 2026 line-up includes: The Kooks on Tuesday 23 June (sold out), Super Furry Animals on Wednesday 24 June, The Streets on Thursday 25 June (sold out), Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark on Friday 26 June (sold out), The Streets again on Saturday 27 June (sold out) and Royel Otis with special guest Luvcat on Sunday 28 June.

With only Super Furry Animals and Royel Otis still remaining on sale, fans are encouraged to secure tickets quickly before they sell out via bristolsounds.co.uk.
