Christmas Comes Early as Kilver Court’s Christmas Room Opens
Christmas comes to Somerset as Kilver Court Designer Village opens the doors of its 2020 fairytale Christmas Room on Thursday the 10th of September.
Come all ye faithful – the Kilver Court team have decked the halls, hung the holly and invite you to step into Christmas as they unveil this year’s seasonal pop up at The Great House. Combined with a calendar of magical events, Kilver Court’s Christmas Room promises to be a festive feast for the eyes that will inspire the imaginations of visitors young and old.
The festive pop-up will offer an enchanting Christmas experience with baskets of baubles, twists of twinkling fairy lights and stockings hung by the fireside – all laid out around the giant central Christmas tree suitably adorned for the festive season.
New Christmas 2020 Collections
Designed to inspire seasonal cheer for every visitor, visitors can browse the magical array of interior styles and decorations that deck the halls of the Christmas Room. Vintage glamour lovers will fall in love with this year’s Celestial range, featuring star-encrusted glass baubles and golden crescent moon ornaments.
For those wanting to transform their homes for fantastically fun Christmas, find eye-catching leopard print stockings and exotic animal decorations from the brand new Bold collection. Alternatively, lighten up a little lady’s Christmas with a pastel-hued Sweet ornaments, a selection of iridescent trinkets that look good enough to eat.
One-stop Christmas Shopping
The Christmas Room is the icing on the cake when it comes to ticking off your shopping list. Once you’re done getting festive you can continue your seasonal shopping spree through The Great House to find original homeware, traditional festive toys for little ones and all of your pantry essentials for the big day. That means you won’t have to brave the high streets this year, but you’ll still get to enjoy an authentic Christmas experience.
Festive Family Events
Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a visit from the big man himself, and later this year, younger visitors will have the opportunity to visit Santa’s grotto tucked away in the picturesque 19th century gardens.
Children will be led down the path towards the Santa’s grotto by real ponies (dressed as elves) – the friendly helpers will not only be a fantastic addition to the experience, but act as a physical barrier of two metres between children and staff at all times.
COVID-19 Considerations
Despite the challenges presented by COVID-19, Kilver Court will offer an authentic Christmas shopping experience whilst following government advised ‘good-to-go’ standards. The three and a half acre, open-air site provides visitors with the space and safety to complete their Christmas shopping safely in one convenient destination.
