Sixes Social Cricket Bristol is celebrating its 1st anniversary

Cricket-inspired bar and experience, Sixes Bristol is celebrating its first anniversary in the city after officially opening in October 2024.

Since then, the Harbourside venue has welcomed thousands of guests through its doors, and into its batting nets. Players have collectively hit over 65,000 sixes and over faced  over 1.1 million balls; enough cricket balls to stretch from Bristol to Cardiff.

Despite a challenging year for hospitality, with rising costs and shifting consumer expectations, Sixes Bristol has found success by leaning into two upcoming trends: competitive socialising and tailored, experiential nights out. Increasingly, people are looking not just for a meal or a drink, but for something more immersive; an evening that’s social, energetic and interactive, whether that’s groups battling it out in the nets, mini golf or bowling.

In just 12 months, the venue has become a firm favourite in the city, expanding its cricket offering with an additional net to meet demand and partnering with Gloucestershire County Cricket Club, launching a game mode that gives fans the chance to try out batting at the grounds themselves.

Reflecting on the milestone, Adam Devine, co-owner at Sixes Bristol said: “We’re thrilled to be celebrating our first year in Bristol, it’s flown by! The city has such a brilliant sporting and entertainment culture, and we’ve loved becoming part of both.

“It’s been a tough year for hospitality across the UK, but we’ve seen so much positivity and energy from our guests. Seeing people laughing, competing and enjoying cricket together – that’s what Sixes is all about.”

Sixes Bristol can be enjoyed by groups of all ages, from family days out, date nights, to corporate events.

Families can also take advantage of the venue’s Kids Eat Free offer, running throughout the October half-term, making it easier, and more affordable, to keep children entertained in the holidays.

As the festive season approaches, Sixes is also open for Christmas party bookings and group reservations, with packages for team socials and celebrations with friends.
