Keynsham Reuse and Recycling Centre announced It’s opening date

It’s almost time for the Keynsham Recycling Hub to open its doors

Get ready because the Reuse and Recycling Centre is opening on Monday 17 April! Access to it will be most easy via World’s End Lane, which has been made into a two-way road that’ll give cyclists and pedestrians space.

Though if you don’t fancy using that route, there’s always the signposted way from Broadmead Lane roundabout or Ashmead Road. The countdown has begun – see you soon!

All council operational vehicles will use a separate site entrance in Pixash Lane.

The current Keynsham Recycling Centre in Pixash Lane will close and be incorporated into the construction.

Mandy Bishop, chief operating officer of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said: “This new purpose-built public household waste and recycling centre will be quicker and easier for residents to use, with expanded recycling provision to make it possible for people to recycle even more.”

Construction on Phase 2 of the Keynsham Recycling Hub will continue, but site traffic will use the main entrance on Pixash Lane. It is anticipated that Phase 2 will be completed over the winter.

Landscaping and tree and hedgerow planting around the new recycling centre will be ongoing as the correct size and species of trees become available.

The opening times will remain the same:

Monday to Friday 8am to 4.15pm

Saturday: 9am to 3.45pm

Sunday 9am to 1pm

Bank Holidays 8am to 3.45pm
