8-year-old Jorgie from Keynsham, Bristol, has been busy making colourful bracelets over the past few months.

With the money she raised, she donated Easter gifts to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). What started as a fun crafting activity turned into a heartwarming fundraising project, as Jorgie sold her handmade creations to family and friends, raising money to buy gifts for her local children’s hospice, Charlton Farm in Wraxall.

Determined to make a difference in time for Easter, Jorgie used the money she raised to purchase teddy bears, Easter eggs, and activity books, bringing smiles to the faces of children receiving vital care at the hospice.

“I thought it would be nice to give the children something special for Easter, it makes me happy to make them happy” Jorgie said.

Heidi Roberts, Area Fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West, added: “Well done to Jorgie for being so very thoughtful this Easter and thinking of the children in our care at Charlton Farm. She should be incredibly proud of her fundraising, and our team was delighted to welcome her to the hospice.”

Children’s Hospice South West has been providing expert care and compassionate support to children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the region for over 30 years. Services include specialist palliative care, respite stays, sibling support, end-of-life care, and ongoing bereavement support.

Jorgie is already thinking ahead to her next fundraising idea, a shining example of how small acts of kindness can have a big impact.
