LEADING SUSTAINABLE RESIN DRIVEWAY COMPANY, OLTCO, LAUNCHES IN BRISTOL

Published On: July 14th, 2020

Oltco, the UK’s leading sustainable resin driveway company has just launched in Bristol and is run by experienced local businessman, Clint Stephenson. Oltco will be delivering premium resin driveway solutions, including its innovative and award-winning product, Recycle Bound, across Bristol, Filton, Bedminster and the surrounding areas.

Recycle Bound is the world’s first recycled driveway solution which helps to combat the global issue of plastic waste that is already in circulation. Made utilising waste plastic (straws, plastic drink bottles and plastic food packaging) from a plastic recycling point, each square metre of Recycle Bound consists of the equivalent of 3,000 plastic straws. Therefore, when Recycle Bound is laid on a standard 50 square metre drive, the equivalent of 150,000 plastic straws are recycled in the process. Since the launch of Recycle Bound in 2019, Oltco has already used the equivalent of over 40 million plastic straws in driveways, paths, patios, balconies and pool surrounds across the UK and this number continues to grow every week.

Family is at the heart of Oltco Bristol with Clint Stephenson leading the way, and working closely alongside his father Mark Stephenson. Together, with their trained team of experts, they will be delivering excellence to both domestic and commercial clients across the area. From residential driveways and gardens through to hotel balconies and restaurant car parks, Oltco Bristol is able to create a stunning finish across a range of outdoor spaces.

Oltco Bristol is at the forefront of the industry thanks to its dedication to always go above and beyond, coupled with the wide range of benefits that comes with every resin bound solution, setting the business apart from its competitors.

These benefits include a 20 year guarantee, non-slip surface and porous properties, all of which provide Oltco Bristol customers with the peace of mind that their Oltco surface is of the highest quality.

With a wealth of experience working alongside high-end businesses, creating elaborate and luxurious window displays for companies such as Selfridges, Clint has a keen eye for detail. This perfectly equips him with the skills to create outstanding, top-quality installations across Bristol, Filton, Bedminster and the surrounding areas.

Clint is passionate about creating work opportunities for young people and providing them with the necessary skills to further their own careers. Alongside growing the Oltco Bristol brand, Clint plans to offer apprenticeship opportunities as he is passionate about supporting the next generation and wants to act as a mentor figure, sharing his knowledge which he has gained over the years. Never has this been more important than right now, as a study from the ONS indicates that in May, 3,625 people aged 18 to 24 were claiming unemployment benefits in Bristol. This is an increase of 2,565 people since April.[1]

Clint Stephenson says: “I have been following the Oltco journey for the past decade and following on from the launch of Recycle Bound, I decided that it now felt like the right time to join forces. I am delighted to be launching the brand to Bristol, Filton, Bedminster and the surrounding areas. I am really excited to start transforming customers’ homes with a feel-good product like Recycle Bound as safeguarding the environment is something I am extremely passionate about.

“My previous experience has involved working in demanding and fast-paced environments so the opportunity to own a business which allows me to create a great work life balance really struck a chord with me.

“During these unprecedented times, we have unfortunately seen unemployment rates skyrocket here in Bristol and across the rest of the UK. It means a lot to me that, during these difficult times, I can hopefully create more job opportunities in the local area as I look to expand my team”

Johnny Pearce, Co-Director, comments: “We instantly knew when we met Clint that he would be the perfect person to run Oltco across Bristol. We loved Clint’s passion for creativity and his background adds a unique skill to our Oltco network.

“It is so inspiring to hear about Clint’s vision to encourage young people into the trade and use his expertise to mentor the next generation. We’re aware of how tough it can be for young people to get onto the job market, so it is incredibly encouraging to see Clint providing that initial leg-up.”

Tom Stringer, Co-Director, adds: “Clint’s past experience, combined with his passion for helping others and protecting the planet ensures that he has the recipe for success, and we are confident that he will achieve great things for Oltco Bristol.”
