Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is inviting people across North Somerset to come together in memory of someone special as its

Taking place at Salthouse Fields in Clevedon from 6.45pm to 9.30pm, the uplifting evening will give families, friends and supporters the chance to walk in memory of loved ones while raising vital funds for local children and families supported by CHSW’s three hospices, including Charlton Farm in Wraxall.

Lights will guide participants on a scenic 5K route through Clevedon, including the historic Clevedon Pier, with live music and quiet spaces to pause and reflect along the way. The event is open to all ages and to anyone who has lost someone they hold in their heart.

Everyone who takes part is asked to pledge to raise £60 in sponsorship, which could fund a support session for a bereaved sibling to explore their emotions. Registration includes a welcome pack with a candle bag to decorate, an ‘I am walking in memory of’ walker sign, a free online dedication, a Moonlight Memory Walk t-shirt for adults, a CHSW branded t-shirt for children and a bespoke Moonlight Memory Walk medal.

Hollie Thorogood, Events Fundraiser for CHSW, said: “Moonlight Memory Walk is such a poignant and meaningful event and we are delighted to be bringing it back to Clevedon in 2026. It is a beautiful opportunity for people to come together, celebrate the lives of those they love and help raise vital funds for local children and families who need CHSW’s care and support.

“Whether you are walking for a parent, grandparent, child, family member or friend, we would love you to join us for this special evening of music, lights and remembrance.

” It costs almost £16 million to keep the 3 of the CHSW hospices open and provide vital care to families wherever they are across the South West, whilst also raising the funds needed to continue supporting babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions and their families. Every contribution helps families access the care and support they need during the most challenging times. CHSW’s local hospice, Charlton Farm in

Wraxall, provides free support including hospice stays and days, specialist play, music therapy, sibling support, palliative and emergency care, end-of-life care and bereavement support.
